Stuart Zadel Visits Jason's Farm

Saturday 8th May 2010 - 1:17 AM

My good friend Jason has found a way to turn an unfarmable, and therefore unprofitable, piece of land into a money making machine. The best part is there are many more winners as a result of his creative thinking than just his hip pocket, the environment for one!

While the debate is still going as to the size of the market for what he’s offering is, there’s no doubt that there are some very real advantages to being the first in the marketplace.

To find out more about what Jason is doing check out the video below:

Pretty cool huh?!

  • Hi Stuart,
Hopefully you'll be doing some of your planting in Western Australia? I have some contacts who came and helped the Toodyay residents when we were burnt out, and said they would be pleased to talk to you about your tree planting if it's happening in WA.

Good work Jason, we need more like you.

Good on you Jason. Hopefully more farmers will follow your lead and I will be watching Stuart's page to see how you are doing.

Well done Jason. I, too grew up on a farm in SA where we cleared the trees for farming and grazing, and used chemical fertilizers and pesticides. It makes me cringe now to know what my forebears did to the land. They acted with the best knowledge available at the time. Now there is no excuse for ignorance with the information available. I would love to see more of your farm. Thanks Stuart for sharing this with us.

Would like to know more about Jason's organic farming methods. Updates from people like him on your page would be my suggestion.

  • Hi Stuart,
I have recently bought 111 acres near Eudunda, SA and am interested in learning more about what Jason is doing. Is it possible for him to get in touch with me? Julie 0413 314749

If all the world did this what a great place it would be

  • Hello Stuart .. this is great and should be encouraged everywhere. There is a group called The Men of the Trees who may be interested in assisting you in your awesome quest to plant "One Million Trees" This is part of their tenet " Men of the Trees need people who appreciate trees and forests; people who mean to protect their environment through positive action" and "by planting the right trees in the right places"
They are not only Australia wide but Worldwide ... and are held in high esteem not only for their plantings "they are a non-profit, non-political group" but also for their great knowledge of the trees.
