    Dear Stuart,
Thanks for your comments about the importance of values. I would like to enhance this by telling you that I have a different slant on that. Without trying to split hairs, I would like people to consider virtues instead of values. When we look and values we are talking so much more about ideals that are goals for some time in the future and something that is not acted out at the moment. On the other hand, a virtue is some thing you are noticed for at the time you enact it such as "reliability", "honesty", "trustworthiness" etc. Do you like this angle? I hope people do because this is where some of our children's educators are leading our kid's.
See you at the Perth Show!

HI Stuart, a wonderful site - my top 5 values are health and fitness, family/friends, knowledge and education, mindset (Millionaire of course), my dreams and goals. They are without a doubt what drives me every day to improve both personally and professionally.

  • JuliaFM

    1) Integrity (without this i believe everything else is fairly worthless)
    2) education (both personal and accademic - we only know as much as we have yet discovered)
    3) Passion (i can see when it exists in others and so I hope others can see it exists in me ... its contagious)
    4) Health (i am not a huge fittness fanatic but i beleive health encapuslates our physical AND our mental well being- one is just as important as the other)
    5) family (this is not at the bottom of my top five becuase i value them least ... rather i dont feel i could give to them what they give to me without having really got the most out of the values above)

  • God/love/faith
    Health/happiness
    family/friends
    freedom (including finacial freedom)
    learning/wisdom/truth

    Hi Stuart,

Congratulations on the new Blog. It's great! So good to be able to read the comments of such an interesting and giving group of people.

My top five values in life are Spiritual, Family, Health, Career (or Mission) and Freedom/ Abundance. My philosophy is Live, Laugh, Love. As with my Goals, I find that reading my Values daily keeps me centered on what is most important to me in life, especially in the way I allocate my most precious resource - my time. Thanks for the inspiration to keep living our best lives, and see you in Adelaide this weekend.

    Catherine

  • I would just like to say a big thank you to you Stuart, you have really made me think. As I sit here trying to enunciate my values I realise that each list I come up with is a list of values I look for in others or in situations or some such thing that isn't really what I value in myself. I will have to give it some thought and let you know over the weekend. Look forward to catching up on Friday.

  • Hello Lionnel - you have a lot on your plate my friend .. I know how that feels .. It can be overwhelming and can lead to desperation if you cant see a way out.
I'm thinking several things Lionnel, that maybe could help you … Perhaps you need to

    1) Be inspired by something specific
    2) Find some direction
    3) Know where to start

All of which you can find at seminars, which is great! .. You dont know whats out there til you get out there if you know what I mean.
But being time poor myself (I’m a full time carer for my mother-in-law, who is 100 – who has her own daily challenges herself – and is quite inspirational to me) getting away to a seminar, especially to take time off from work and also missing out on your paypacket, may not be the best option for you at this time.
What you can do for yourself, right now, sitting in your cab, with a big notepad and pencil is something that I found most helpful to me.
    Make some Lists.
Allow yourself plenty of space on the page and between ideas, so that you can write in other ideas as they pop into your head.
What you are Interested in - Firstly, write down everything that comes into your head, no judgement - and keep this list for future reference.
The Second list, write down your Passions - whatever they are! What could you really get on your high horse about? What could you rant and rave about? What could you really spend hours and hours doing? What truly inspires you? (Some of these will naturally overlap from the first list – put them down anyway)
The Third list, write down everything You are Good at - and there would be many things Lionnel, so dont judge yourself here .. put it all on paper – even if you don’t think its significant.
Then you take the 3 lists and find whats common to them all ...
Then pick out each idea, one at a time – and Do a Mind Map for each of them. (You will probably find that you will stop at one or two at most!)
Put the central idea in the middle (of course!) and then associate all the ideas that come up with that idea .. everything that springs to mind. Then say to yourself, if I want to do that, then I need to do this first - and before I can do that, I should really do this first ... and link up everything that has to do with that idea ..
What you should find at the end, is a passion going in a definite direction, and hopefully, a starting point for you.
Then perhaps you could spend some time either researching it on the web for yourself, or finding the right teacher / mentor or course that could fast track it for you ..
Good luck to you Liionnel, the world is a wonderful place if we are open to the opportunities that are out there .. don’t stay locked in your cab too long .. your mind is free even if the body isn’t .. Liz

    Hi Lionnel,

Yeah I hear you, I do taxi driver hours too, as a mother of young ones. It's hard to see and work your way out of your present life into a very different future, even when you have been given a glimpse of the possibilities 'out there'.

But I want to encourage you to make the most of your time, money and energy, to channel it towards your education, self development, change and solutions. Every step you take in the direction of your goals and dreams is worth taking. It can seem a long long way but it is the only way. Be patient, persistent, and positive. Keep your mind open and your heart hopeful. Opportunities will open up for you and solutions will present themselves if you keep heading in the right direction. It will be difficult and time-consuming but so worth it.

Don't worry, once you get into a course you will find that alot of us are a bit terrified. But swap contact details with people you meet there and support each other through. We all have our strenths and weaknesses and you will gain confidence along the way.

I hope you get alot of support and encouragement from other bloggers out there. Anyone out there have any success stories to share with the hard working taxi driver? Help Lionnel out here!

Good luck on your journey Lionnel

  • Lionnel

....thanks sooo very much for your support Marieke....you such a wonderful person.....i guess one must keep up the efforts to the action no matter what....one must drag ones'self outa bed haha :-)) kinda of funny lol....i wish i had a big robot to actually pick me up from the bed each n every mornin and just drop me onto the floor bahahahaha...oops!!!..anyhow yes i get it...thanks again Marieke ;-))

  • Marieke

    Hey Lionnel,

You're very generous in your compliments, I can't think of another way to be, so many of us struggle on our own when we could as easily support each other. It takes so little time to do something kind and you never know how much of a difference it makes to someones life. It is the little kindnesses from strangers or friends that have sometimes helped me through. And you know what, the happier you are the happier the next passenger in your cab is, and that could be someone I love, so it can come back to me, or it gets passed onto someone else who may have needed a bit of your good vibe. It's all about spreading the lurve....

You'll probably find it easier to get out of the bed with a clear vision of your future. You have to drag yourself out anyway..... if you knew where you wanted to go, and believed that with some effort you could get there you might be more motivated to get out and put in that extra effort. I say find a way to save a weeks pay and take a weekend off to spend with Stuart and his crowd. That'll get you out of bed in the mornings!

    Hey Lionnel

I can totally appreciate your situation and how busy you are. However I
might suggest that you might need to do whatever it takes to find the time.
I image that once you found the right course for you there would still be a
considerable amount on time you would need to dedicate to making it work
before it produced a healthy return and would allow you to leave your job!

Like I say in my seminars, creating a completely passive income might be one
of the most difficult things you ever do in your life however I assure you
it'll be one of the most rewarding and worthwhile.

All that being said if you're looking for a starting point, you're
interested in property and do have limited time I would suggest starting
with the book, 'Think and Grow Rich Property'. This will give you a good
idea of the creative ways you can get into property from strategies that
require little time, to strategies that require little money!

If you haven't got a copy you should be able to pick up the first edition
right now in any bookstore. The second edition will be available in a few
months or by phoning the office on 1800 899 058

    All the best Lionnel!

    Stuart

Dear Lionnel, hello :-) I totally agree with Stuart, getting to the point where you are financillay free sure is hard work, but it sure is worth it! We're going to work hard anyway so we may as well work hard at being rich. Its not like if we dont work hard at being rich, then we can relax or anything. We'll be working hard anyway, at a job. A millionaire told me that when I first started :-) But the good thing about working hard to be financially free is that you do all the hard work ONCE only in your life, and you do it now while you are young and still have energy, and you get to reap the rewards forever :-) Start now while you have the motivation and the time, and remember that the greatest journey ever made started out with a single step.Sure it takes a while and is hard but its also fun and it's worth it, To quote a line from a song by pink floyd: :Did you exchange a walk on part in a war, for a lead role in a cage?"

  • Lionnel

taa for your input/support towards my current situation...yes i guess am experiencing this dificult part of the journey and i gues it makes one realise success is not made to comeby just sooo easily :-)) n what marieke says too makes loads of sense... thanks again....PS. will sure look at buying your book/s

    Regards
    Lionnel :-))

    Hi Stuart,
    Just me again.
Have you ever thought of having Health speakers i.e. such as Cindy O'Meara (Changing Habits Changing Lives) at your Seminars? I know you're aware of Don Tolman but I believe you're trying to support the Aussies.
    Thanks again Milka

  • Stuart Zadel

    Hey Milka,

I'd absolutely consider anybody that has good information to share. I've
heard of Cindy O'Meara and hear she's doing great stuff!

It all depends on the style of seminars we hold in the future.

My family in particular my boys (inc my husband) are most important to me. Ever since discovering my 1st borns food allergies at the age of 18months I've been working on improving my families health. Even though his food allergies had me down initially how I THANK him through his food allergies for educating us all in what we are really eating. We have discovered that there are great amazing people such as Cindy O'Mear (Aust) & Don Tolman (USA) who are sending a strong clear message the importance of our health & the importance of eating Organic GMO Free Local Wholesome Food which in turn is a big PLUS for our environment. Amazingly enough just by seeing amazing Don Tolman last year we were given the opportunity this year to meet the amazing Stuart Zadel. To think this all began with our sons food allergies which prompted us to review his health & ours. I value each person I meet & connect with & I am on a mission to send all these amazing people's messages across to many as I can. Its Humanity that should be valued the most. We all deserve Health Happiness & Simple Basic Needs. As for Wealth I see it as a tool to help achieve all of the above. THANK YOU!
