  • Hi Stuart, What a great Christmas message. Thank you for taking the time to inspire others and for us to Pay it Forward. For me when I focus on others my life seems to be more balanced. It is great to be part of a committed team of people who want good for all and are wanting to contribute to the World. Merry Christmas to you and your team at TGR.  Look forward to an amazing and abundant 2012. VB

Thanks Virginia and to all for the wonderful responses we got. My letters took me an hour and a half to write and in my estimations it was our best Christmas ever :) Stuart

Dear Stuart, Thanks for the message and Christmas wishes.  Your suggestion is a very good one and I will try to put it into practice.  It is actually a Christian principle to build up and encourage others - the Bible tells us to do it.  I'd just like to remind you and all the rest of the TGR team and supporters that Christmas is more than just a time of reflecting on the old year, but it is a time of celebrating the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  We could reflect on what He has done for us in taking our sins upon Himself and thank Him for that, and for all the blessings of the past year as well as asking for His help and strength to live the next year more like Him.
Wishing you and your family all a very happy CHRISTmas,
    Caroline

Thanks for the idea.  True, it is something we should do and we don't make time for it.  My son got his OP 1 yesterday.   It will be a special letter I write to him acknowledging his efforts.  I have read the Think and Grow Rich book twice this month.  I can't believe it took me so long to read it. What a powerful book! Set your goals and go for it.  This leap year will make a difference.  Merry Christmas. Thanks for the book.

Hi Stuart, thanks for this reminder. I have heard of acknowledging people before - now I've got to put it into practice. So I'll start with you first! I want to acknowledge you for your vision, going after your goals, taking action & inviting me to step up & be a leader in my world. I've heard your story & how big it has been for you to get to where you are now. Thankyou for being an example of putting the TGR principles into action. You are an inspiration to me.
Thanks mate. Merry Christmas to you & your family.
    Cheers

    Hi Stuart,

Regardless of the occassion, the idea is practical and basic which a lot of us seem to neglect in our fast pace world.

Greg 1, Reflection and Acknowlegment on Jesus Christ should be all year round not only at Christmas time.  Hope you agree.

    Have a Merry Christmas.

    Merv
  • Thank You Stuart.

Pen to paper now that's a new concept in today's digital age. I always appreciate more a hand written letter, it seems to add that personal touch. Acknowledgement helps us all, by sharing our thoughts and feelings we have of others a smile appears not only on the authors face but also on the recipients face and a smile just makes your day.

    Ho Ho Ho Ho
    Merry Christmas beautiful people.

Stuart.....Christmas ONLY means That you ACKNOWLEDGE .......Jesus Christ.  Thats all he requires

Hi Stuart, 2 points to consider on the other side of the coin:
The 20:80 rule - 20% can make things work, but the other 80% either give up, or try but fail.
Each year seems to get worse than the year before.

All the best to you, Jacinta and the team,
    Hugh

I think it's a fantastic idea.  I'm going to do this in the time between Christmas and New Year and send it to those people who are important to me so as they start 2012 they know I appreciate them.

Stuart, thanks for the advice. After attending your seminar recently and especially this video, you have emphasised on the importance of acknowledgment and i can definitely see what difference it makes. Anyway enjoy your Christmas!

A great reminder Stuart. Thanks for your timely message. We do all get so busy that sometimes we forget that the smallest things can make the most significant difference in the lives of others. Far from the need to spend a lot of money, taking the time to give someone a smile, a word of thanks, a helping hand or support when times are challenging, these are the things that make people feel valued (including ourselves). If more of us took the time more often the world would be all the better for it. Once again thank you.
Wishing you, your family and all your wonderful staff at TGR a happy, healthy holiday season and the very best for a bright and prosperous 2012. We look forward to seeing you again at the TGR Experience.

A wonderful idea which I plan to put into practise! This act will certainly have a lot of meaning for the recipient & could mean a lot more than any purchased gift.
Best wishes to the whole T&GR team for the festive season as we look forward together to a wonderful year ahead in 2012!
  • Johneeds
Thanks for the great idea! It's so easy to say 'Thank You' with a purchased gift, but it is even better to say thank you with words. It's almost a lost art-form, accept for the quick tweet, comment, or email. Really putting heartfelt words down in a sincere message is a great present! Thanks for reminding me to value relationships this Christmas with the personal touch.
And on that note, I wish you Stuart, and the T&GR team a well deserved break! Thank you all so much for your time and energy that you have given to the people of Adelaide and to the realization that prosperity and wealth benefit us all. I am looking forward to 2012 with anticipation, joy, and a whole lot of prosperity!

  • Stuart, you keep it real, I like that.  Acknowledgement is one of my key 'love languages' and fuels me day to day.   I use to have my four children right their name on a piece of paper and hand it to the next person at the dinner table.  Each person would then write down one thing that that person 'gave' to them.... like 'he makes me laugh' even when I didn't feel like it!'  The comments remain anonymous. The note is then passed around the table for 'contributions' until it returns to the originator.  They were encouraged to read outload the qualities which others appreciated.  Fun and empowering.
We have adapted a similar idea into the traditional Christmas Crackers with a little note inside with a heart felt wish ....
